Kat Frick Miller is an artist and freelance illustrator based in Nova Scotia.

Kat graduated from NSCAD University in 2009 and now works full time in her Halifax studio. Kat splits her time between her art practice and her illustration work for clients, while also producing a collection of prints, cards and other products available in stores and her shop online.

Kat's imagery is cultivated through historical and first hand research into the cultural history of a region.  She collects reference material, primarily firsthand, sometimes drawing on historical documents available through research facilities.  Within her art practice she is conducting research exploring the fishing trade in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia as it relates to women’s work.
